BitLife
Text-based life simulator: age up a year at a time and pick your way through school, jobs, relationships, crime and eventually death.
BitLife is Candywriter's life simulator, out since 2018. There are no graphics to speak of, just a scrolling log of events and a set of menus. You are born with randomised stats in a random country, and every tap of Age advances a year, generating school results, illnesses, arguments, job offers and the occasional disaster.
What you do between those taps is the game. You can chase a straight run at medical school, marriage and a pension, or you can rob banks, get caught and spend the rest of the life escaping prison. The writing is dry and slightly mean, deaths are frequently stupid, and a run takes ten minutes, which is why people play dozens of them.

Tips
- Study hard every school year. Smarts is what gates the medicine and law tracks that pay for everything later.
- Visit the doctor and gym annually. Health decays quietly in the background and is what ends most runs early.
- Crime pays badly against the prison time it costs, so build a legitimate income before you try any of it.
