Cut The Rope: Holiday
A Christmas set for Cut the Rope, where ropes become fairy lights and stockings teleport the candy across the board to Om Nom.
Cut the Rope: Holiday Gift is ZeptoLab's Christmas spin-off, released around December 2010 as a free 25-level set alongside the original game. The core is unchanged: slice ropes in the right order so a sweet swings, drops and reaches Om Nom, grabbing three stars on the way.
The festive dressing is more than paint. The ropes are strands of Christmas lights, the backdrop is a papercraft tree, Om Nom occasionally wears reindeer ears, and the new mechanic is the stocking, which works like a portal. Drop the candy into one and it shoots out of another somewhere else on the board, which changes how you plan a swing entirely. It is short, and that is the point.
Controls
Mouse only: click and drag across a rope to cut it, click bubbles and blowers
Tips
- Stockings are portals. Work out where the candy comes out before you cut the rope that sends it in.
- Cut at the top of a swing rather than the bottom. The candy carries far more of the arc that way.
- Three stars usually needs a different route than a plain clear, so plan the star run first.
