Spend Jeff Bezos Money
Hand Jeff Bezos' fortune back to the world one purchase at a time, from $3 burgers up to skyscrapers, until the counter hits zero.
A shopping-spree toy rather than a game. You start with a Bezos-sized bank balance and a catalogue that runs from a $3 hamburger up through phones, cars, mansions, cruise ships, sports teams and skyscrapers, each with plus and minus buttons and a running total pinned to the top of the screen. Anything you regret you can sell straight back at full price.
The joke is how badly it scales. Ten thousand burgers barely dent the number, and you quickly work out that only the eight- and nine-figure items move the bar at all. Most people finish by buying a few hundred of something absurd purely to zero it out, then read the receipt to see what they now own.
Controls
Mouse only, using the plus and minus buttons to buy and sell.
Tips
- Cheap items are a trap; you can't clear a fortune three dollars at a time, so start at the expensive end.
- Selling refunds in full, so there's no risk in over-buying something and dialling it back later.
- To land exactly on zero, clear the big purchases first and use the cheapest item as loose change.
