Funny Shooter
A first-person shooter played for slapstick. Waves of oversized ragdoll enemies rush you, and the physics does most of the comedy.
Funny Shooter is a wave-based FPS built around ragdoll physics rather than realism. Enemies are large, goofy and numerous, weapons hit harder than they should, and hitting something sends it tumbling in a way that is the actual point of the game. You clear a wave, pick up whatever the game hands you, and face a bigger one.
It runs in the browser through WebGL and asks a fair amount of a low-end machine, especially once a wave has a dozen ragdolls active at once. Progress is per-run, so it is a game you dip into rather than work through, and the weapon variety is what keeps the later waves from feeling identical.
Controls
WASD to move, mouse to aim and fire, number keys to swap weapons, shift to sprint
Tips
- Keep moving backwards while firing. Enemies close in a straight line and standing still is how a wave surrounds you.
- Switch weapons for crowds rather than for damage. Anything with spread clears a wave faster than anything precise.
- Frame rate drops hardest when ragdolls pile up. Clearing bodies by moving to a fresh part of the map genuinely helps on a Chromebook.
