Third-person shooter where you throw up walls and ramps mid-fight, with 1v1 duels, box fights, zone wars and a 10-player battle royale.
1v1.LOL is a browser shooter built around Fortnite-style building. You spawn with a shotgun, rifle, sniper and a pickaxe, and every fight turns into a race to slap a wall down faster than the person shooting at you. Maps are small, rounds are short, and editing a wall to fire through it is the skill that separates the two halves of the lobby.
Modes cover plain 1v1 duels, box fights, Zone Wars, Build Fight, a combat-free JustBuild sandbox, an aim trainer and a ten-player battle royale. It arrived in the browser in 2020 from JustPlay.LOL and got popular mostly because it loads instantly and the whole learning curve is mechanical.
Controls
WASD to move, mouse to aim and shoot, Space to jump, Q/F/C/V to build, G for pickaxe
Tips
- Put a wall down the instant you take damage. Building first and looking second is basically the whole game.
- Ramp up and shoot down. Height decides more fights here than aim does.
- Warm up in JustBuild or the aim trainer, because matches are far too short to practise inside.
