Minecraft 1.8
Eaglercraft's browser port of Minecraft 1.8, the fuller version: more blocks, more mobs, and multiplayer if you have a server address.
The 1.8 build is the more complete of the two Eaglercraft clients here. It brings the blocks, mobs and mechanics 1.8 added over 1.5.2, and it supports joining multiplayer servers over WebSocket if you have an address that accepts Eaglercraft clients. Single player survival and creative both work without any of that.
The trade is weight. 1.8 takes longer to load and asks more of the graphics hardware, which on a low-end laptop can mean the difference between a steady thirty frames and a slideshow. If the 1.5.2 version runs and this one does not, that is why, and it is worth dropping the render distance before giving up on it.
Controls
WASD to move, mouse to look, left click to break, right click to place, E for inventory
Tips
- Drop the render distance to the minimum in video settings first. It is by far the biggest frame rate lever in the browser client.
- Multiplayer needs a server that accepts Eaglercraft over WebSocket. A normal Minecraft server address will not connect.
- Worlds live in browser storage on this device only. Use the world export option before clearing site data or switching machines.
