Monkey Mart
Run a supermarket staffed by a monkey. Plant, harvest, stock the shelves, take the money, and hire monkeys to do it for you.
Monkey Mart is an idle management game that starts as a chore simulator and gradually removes the chores. You walk a monkey around a shop, planting bananas, carrying them to a shelf and collecting money from customers, all by hand.
The progression is buying assistants who take over each of those jobs one at a time, so the game you are playing at minute thirty is completely different from the one at minute one. New product lines unlock steadily — corn, eggs, coffee, bread — and each adds another small loop that you will eventually automate as well. It is paced well enough that the automation always arrives just as the manual version starts to drag.
Controls
Arrow keys or WASD to walk. Everything else happens by standing in the right place
Tips
- Buy assistants before new products. Automation compounds while a new product line just adds more work.
- Keep every shelf stocked rather than filling one completely. Customers leave if their item is missing.
- Upgrade carrying capacity early, since the walk between the plot and the shelf is most of the lost time.
