Portal: The Flash Version
Valve test chambers flattened into two dimensions, with the portal gun intact and momentum preserved exactly as it should be.
Portal: The Flash Version appeared in 2008, shortly after the original Portal, and does something genuinely clever: it rebuilds the puzzle logic in a 2D side-scroller without losing what made it work. You place a blue portal and an orange portal on any white surface and walk through.
Momentum carries across portals properly, which means the entire flinging vocabulary survives the dimension change. Falling into a floor portal and out of a wall portal launches you sideways at the speed you fell, and most of the later chambers cannot be solved without it. It has forty chambers, turrets, energy balls and the companion cube, all in two dimensions.

Tips
- Speed through a portal is conserved, so fall a long way into a floor portal to launch out of a wall portal fast.
- You can shoot a portal through an open portal, which several late chambers require.
- If a jump looks impossible, you almost certainly need to build speed first rather than aim better.
