Doodle Jump
Bounce a sketched creature up an endless ladder of platforms on graph paper, and never look down.
Doodle Jump was one of the defining early iPhone games, and this is the Flash version of it. Your character bounces automatically and forever; the only input is horizontal, so the whole game is lining yourself up with the next platform before gravity decides for you.
The platforms stop being simple quickly. Some slide sideways, some crumble on contact, some are springs that fire you up half a screen, and some have monsters sitting on them that you can shoot or jump on. The screen scrolls up with you and never back down, which makes every missed platform a potentially fatal one.
Controls
Arrow keys or mouse to steer left and right. Click or Space to shoot upward
Tips
- Steer to where the platform will be, not where it is. Sliding platforms move while you are still in the air.
- Going off one side of the screen wraps you to the other, which is often the fastest way to reach an awkward platform.
- Springs and jetpacks skip large sections, so take them even if you are mid-route to something else.
