Factory Balls
Dress a ball to match a target by dipping, masking and painting it in exactly the right order.
Factory Balls is a pure logic puzzle with an unusually clean idea. You have a plain ball, a target pattern, and a shelf of tools: paint buckets, belts, caps, holes and masks. Dipping the ball in paint colours everything not covered by a mask.
So every puzzle is an ordering problem. Put the belt on, dip in red, take the belt off, dip in blue, and you have a stripe. The tools are few and the solutions are exact, which makes the moment of working one out genuinely satisfying. Later levels need five or six steps in a sequence where almost every other order fails.
Controls
Mouse only: drag a tool onto the ball to use it, drag it off to remove it
Tips
- Work backwards from the target. The last colour applied is whatever is visible on the outside.
- Masks can be put on and taken off between dips, which is where almost every solution lives.
- If a colour appears in two separate places, it was almost certainly applied before a mask covered the middle.
