Helix Jump
Drop a bouncing ball down a spiral tower by rotating it so the gaps line up, and never touch the red.
Helix Jump is a single-gesture game that gets a surprising amount out of its one mechanic. A ball bounces in place at the top of a spiral tower, and you rotate the entire tower so that a gap arrives underneath it.
Falling through several platforms in a row without touching anything enters a smash state where the ball punches straight through, including through the red sections that would otherwise end the run. That turns the game from careful gap-finding into deliberately setting up long drops, which is a much better game than it first appears to be.
Controls
Click and drag left or right to rotate the tower
Tips
- Chain three or more platforms to enter the smash state, which makes the red sections harmless for a moment.
- Rotate early. The ball bounces on a fixed rhythm, so the gap must already be in place when it comes down.
- Small drags are safer than large ones, since overshooting puts a red section under the ball instead of a gap.
