Moto X3M
A stunt bike game where the track is a trap. Twenty-two levels of saws, explosives and collapsing ramps, timed down to the second.
Moto X3M is Madpuffers' side-scrolling bike game, and the first thing to understand is that the level is designed to kill you and the timer is designed to make you take the risk anyway. Each stage is a short obstacle course of spinning saws, swinging wrecking balls, timed explosives and ramps that give way, and your rider comes apart in a ragdoll the moment anything touches them.
Crashing is cheap. You restart at the last checkpoint almost instantly, and the game expects you to die repeatedly while you learn where the hazards fire. What it scores you on is time, with three stars for a clean fast run, which means the real game is memorising a stage and then running it without hesitating.
Controls
Up or W to accelerate, down or S to brake, left and right to rotate the bike in the air
Tips
- Rotate in the air constantly. Backflips shave time off the clock and landing nose-down is faster than landing flat.
- Deaths cost almost nothing but time. Learning a hazard by hitting it once is usually faster than creeping up on it.
- Three stars needs a run with no braking. Once you know a stage, the fast line is almost always full throttle plus air control.
