Sandtrix
Tetris where the pieces are made of sand. They fall apart on landing, pile up and flow, and clear as connected colour.
Sandtrix is one of the best things to happen to the falling-block genre in years. The pieces are standard tetrominoes, but they are made of sand, so the moment one lands it collapses into a heap and flows around whatever is already there.
That breaks every habit the genre taught you. There are no clean rows, lines do not exist, and a clear happens when a single colour connects all the way from the left wall to the right. Sand pours through gaps and rebalances piles, so a late drop can trigger a flow that clears a third of the board. It is messier than Tetris and considerably more fun to watch.

Tips
- Build one colour across the board rather than stacking neatly. Connection from wall to wall is the only clear condition.
- Sand flows, so dropping into a gap redistributes the whole pile. Use that to join two separated patches of a colour.
- Keep the middle low. A central mound splits the board into two halves that can never connect.
