Time Shooter 2
The sequel adds melee, more weapons and larger arenas to the time-only-moves-when-you-do idea.
Time Shooter 2 keeps the core intact and builds out around it. There are more weapon types, proper melee combat, and arenas with enough geometry that cover and flanking become real options rather than decoration.
The pacing is better too — encounters escalate within a level rather than resetting, so a room can turn into a long chain of stop, plan, execute, stop again. It is the entry most worth playing if you only play one, though the first is the purer version of the idea.
Controls
WASD to move, mouse to aim, left click to shoot, right click or Q and E to throw and pick up weapons
Tips
- Melee is faster than shooting at close range and does not use ammunition.
- Use cover. Unlike the first game the arenas have real geometry and standing in the open is punished.
- Plan the whole room while frozen, then execute. Improvising halfway through a move is what gets you shot.
