Gun Mayhem 2
The sequel: more weapons, custom loadouts, more stages, and the same excellent knock-them-off-the-edge core.
Gun Mayhem 2 keeps everything that worked and adds depth around it. The weapon roster is much larger, you can build a custom fighter with perks, and the stage list includes several with hazards that do the knocking off for you.
The campaign is also substantially better, with challenge levels that teach specific techniques rather than just throwing more enemies at you. It remains at its best with several people on one keyboard, but it is the version worth playing alone as well.
Controls
Player one: WASD to move, F to shoot, G for bombs. Player two: arrow keys, L to shoot, K for bombs
Tips
- Build a loadout around knockback rather than damage. The win condition has not changed from the first game.
- Learn the stage hazards. On several maps the level will kill your opponent for you if you push them correctly.
- Keep a jump in reserve at all times. Being knocked off with no recovery left is the most common way to lose.
